The Train Wreck

Oh man! What a day! Hubby worked last night so took the kids to church by myself which is always a feat, then after church so hubby could get a bit more undisturbed sleep I took the kids for a ride on the caraosel and to the mall for a bit.

We had planned on today being the day we opened our family gifts since Chrismtas eve will be spent and hubby's parents house with his sisters and two nephews, and Christmas day will be spent and my parents house with my family. WELLLLLLL......

We got home from church to find a mess (more so than usual in the house) It appears, that some how the door to the garage was not completely latched and the dog (we have a saint bernard) escaped is dry haven and caught some house time. Here's the train wreck part.

Yesterday and Grandma M's Christmas grandma made 16 train cakes for the kids to decorate

Well they were sitting on the dinning room table and the dog got into the and completely destroyed them! Seriously nothing left.....then proceeded to leave little gifts of partially digested train all over the house! NOT FUN! I am a total simpithetic barfer, I couldn't even clean it up with out gagging, so hubby got that fun job!

The kids had a great time in the end opening the presents, and then we went to a candlelight sevice at the community church across the road. Poor Audrey is sick, not sure what but she's had this horrible headache, so she crashed early. Say a prayer for her if you think of it.
