Day 2: Magic Kingdom

9/27 Sunday: We tried to make rope drop at MK, but were a little slow getting around, and went thru the turn styles just as they were finishing the opening ceremony.

We headed straight for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and grabbed Fast Passes and then walked on, no wait. Then Audrey and Aaron did Splash MT.

Winn was not feeling well, I think all the wetness from the night before helped push a cold he was on the edge of getting into full blown sickness. And he didn't really feel like doing a ton.

Then after they got done we waited for rope drop at Tom Sawyer's Island, there were about 10 families and all of them were whispering like they knew to look for the paint brushes, so I wasn't holding out any hopes, we got off the raft towards the middle of the pack and headed out, Winn found a paint brush right away, after several had walked right by! Including me and dh! He was so excited! (really he was, even if he doesn't look like it, he hates having this picture taken)


Then we did BTMR again, and headed to Pirates of the Caribbean, again walked on, then grabbed an early lunch, and went and did mickeys philharmagic, then decided to call it a day as it was getting more crowded, we caught the Pumpin up the party parade on the way out,

and the kids sang that song the rest of the day!

Then we decided to head to Typhoon Lagoon for the rest of the afternoon, and had a blast. They had a snorkle tank with sharks sting rays and fish, I was so excited to have the kids snorkel, so we tried that first thing, they weren't impressed! I got in and swam a little ways and looked up to see where the kids were, Winn was climbing out the other side of the pool lol and Audrey was clinging to Aaron. They were totally freaked out, Winn said he saw one shark and that was it, Audrey's mask kept filling up so she couldn't really see anything.

We stayed till just before closing and beat the rush to the bus. (best $220 we ever spent, the kids LOVED the water park(s) and DH was nuts about Disney Quest lol! The kids liked it too but dh was manic about it.) Had dinner at ASmovie food thingy and we really enjoyed having that! Good food and not overly busy except in the mornings which we only did once!
