From Helena we drove to Phillipburg a quite little town in a gorgeous valley, I love Phillipsburg and could easily be talked into moving there if I was sure that I wouldn't be stranded their in the snow in the winter.
We went to Gem Mountain and did a bit more Sapphire digging and founds some good ones, then back to Phillipsburg to the candy store http://www.sweetpalace.com/ this place is freakin amazing! Not only is the candy selection amazing but the buildings archateture is neat too! Then we drove from Phillipsburg to Stevensville, which is south of Missoula via Skalkaho Rd http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=comcast&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl
um let me just tell you this is considered a HWY in montana but is pure gravel bliss folks, with no guardrails and steep canyons!
