Day 3

Today started early, with a rooster crowing outside out the window. Did I mention yesterday there are chickens everywhere?
Then we drove around the south shore of the island and saw the sites.

Supposedly the only place in the US where coffee is grown. I had never seen how coffee grew so it was interesting for me.

Then we stopped for our first walk on the beach. Aaron wanted to snorkel but decided to wait. We then headed to Lihue to costco and the grocery store.

We ate lunch at costco, there food area was outside, with chickens all over, I was scared my feet were going to get pecked, and Aaron was worried about bird flu, but still fed them. One of the little ones decided Aaron was his daddy and stood at his feet and peeped.

This picture cracked me up.

We spent the afternoon at this beach, Aaron snorkeled and I layed in the sun, then we walked down the beach. He saw a Nemo fish and some sheepshead and a few others, the surf was a bit rough so he didn't stay in long.The road to get to it was gated and dirt, so there were very few people there, it was nice to have a lot of sand to yourself. It was pretty windy and rainy this afternoon so we hit the mall for a little while and then came back to the condo and hit the pool and just relaxed. I have to say the water is COLD, I figured it would be a lot warmer!
